Durham Investigation Update 5/7/23 - AG Garland says he hasn't received the report yet.

The idiocy of the left in this country is staggering. This coming week will mark two months since Hamas murderers slaughtered over a thousand Israeli citizens and the left continues blaming the government of Israel for the atrocities. Townhall's Victor Davis Hansen relates the hypocrisy.

If only we had commentators like this on America's major broadcast networks we might actually start solving problems. It's "Rita's Weekly Reality Check" and she couldn't be more spot on ...

The systematic destruction of the United States is well underway, and leading the way is what is happening with the flood of immigrants illegally entering the country. Townhall's Katie Pavlich describes the situation and exposes the "Illegal Immigration Industrial Complex" ...

There are now daily revelations about what the Bidens were up to while "The Big Guy" Biden was in office serving as Vice President - influence peddling for cash, multi-millions of dollars worth. To cover their tracks, were fake names and aliases used in email messages? Congress wants to know. While Democrats and the mainstream news media (same same) focus on the charges being made against former President Trump, they just vehemently refuse to scrutinize and accept the mounting evidence. Law Professor Jonathon Turley is kind to suggest Biden's use of fake names in email could cost him. Could? How about should?

(9/2/23)
Presented with what is customarily viewed as "evidence" - bank records, emails, witness testimony -
it is remarkable to see the lengths the mainstream news media is undertaking to ignore one of the biggest
(and most dangerous) stories of the century.
Townhall's Matt Vespa has the story of a Washington Post "reporter" who has a problem answering simple
questions when confronted with what used to be considered evidence of corruption.

Republicans can forget about attracting voters when the media portrays rebate checks as Democrat checks.
One news outlet, The Patch, is reporting the checks that are being distributed to two million Minnesotans
are coming from Democrat Governor Tim Walz.

The checks are not from Walz. They're from Minnesota's over-taxed taxpayers that had over $17 billion taken from them above what the state expected to seize.

Sweet! Gotta love it. Whenever a liberal has to admit conservatives were right it's a day to rejoice. Chuck Todd, NBC's "Meet The Press" host, is the latest liberal to begrudgingly admit that maybe red-state governors were right to bus migrants in the country illegally to self-declared "Sanctuary" cities throughout the U.S. Townhall's Sarah Hall has the story ...

All in All a pretty eventful weekend. What appeared to be a potential coup in Russia fizzled as quickly as it emerged. Whatever. What needs more attention is what happened when a group of masked men attempted to infiltrate a Patriot rally and the response they received from true Patriots:

This should be the response every time these unidentified infiltraitors show up at a rally. Unmask them, ID them, let's find out who sent them and paid them. We are living in the midst of unfathomable corruption.

What has been suspected for a few years is being confirmed on an almost daily basis now. What was suspected? There was a concerted effort at every level of government and among public health authorities to promote one narrative while silencing those who had the nerve to challenge or disagree with what was being pushed. Former Minnesota State Senator and Doctor Scott Jensen is sounding the alarm that there is something occurring that should disturb everyone: The Mysterious Disappearance of COVID-related articles from medical journals.

Is there a difference between gaslighting and lying? The answer is no, but gaslighting sounds nicer. It's a gentler way of saying things that aren't true. The Biden White House has turned gaslighting into an art form, as Townhall's Spencer Brown explains with his take "Believe Your Lying Eyes."

______________________________________________________________

(5/2/23)
Public Health officials around the world are trying to downplay, minimize, and in some cases blatantly lie, about the mistakes and policies they advocated when the COVID-19 virus began spreading in early 2020. It turns out much of their advocacy resulted in unnecessary lockdowns, mandates, economic and societal collapse. Instead of saying, "We were wrong. We are sorry for the damage inflicted," they're defiant. The New York Post's Editorial Board calls their defiance an attempt to "slow the spread of truth about its betrayal."

______________________________________________________________

(4/15/23)
There seems to be no issue that the Biden Administration refrains from gaslighting - For example, Open Borders? No, the Borders are controlled. | Afghanistan withdrawl a failure? No, our withdrawal from Afghanistan was a success. | U.S. Troops in Ukraine? No, there are no U.S. Troops in Ukraine. And so it goes. A relatively new one: Is the Fed pursuing a Digital Currency? No, you silly people. Townhall's Katie Pavlich suspects the Fed isn't being honest about what they're up to. |

David Harsanyi at the Federalist has it right; however, he didn't mention the obvious culprits being "above the law." It's laughable, truly laughable, to hear Democrats say "No one is above the law." They ignore the millions that have flooded into the country illegally. Yeah, they have done so illegally. They jumped the line. They have made chumps of those who have patiently endured the time and expense of emigrating to the U.S. legally. So we have millions in the country who have broken our laws to be here. Who are they? Where are they? Will they ever be held accountable? To say, "No one is above the law" would be a joke if it didn't have such dire consequences for the country.

Every day more and more truths are being revealed as to the effectiveness of the entire federal, state, and local government and public health authority responses to the COVID-19 outbreak beginning in February 2019. The latest: The most indepth study to date into the effectiveness, or more accurately the lack of effectiveness, of wearing masks, and most shockingly it's being reported in the New York Times. You read that right - the New York Times! Where did the Minneapolis StarTribune place this "news"? On its Opinion Page. Not Page One where is belongs, but Opinion. This is news, big news. Very big news, and our major "news" media organizations continue to ignore or downplay the damage that was done to the American people.

When confronted with the results of this comprehensive study, the U.S. CDC has determined it's going to standby its "guidance" regarding the wearing of masks. Surely, in the event of another pandemic, the CDC and other public health officials will be out there urging mask mandates when they have been proven repeatedly to be ineffective in preventing or spreading airborne viruses. Let's not even bring up the subject of vaccine deaths and injuries. We'll save that for another day.

The number of mea culpas is climbing, but there's a long way to go. Well, there's lots of fretting in DC, and on Wall Street, and throughout the rest of the country now that the federal Debt Ceiling has been reached, again. The Democrats are howling about how "irresponsible it is to not raise the Debt Ceiling." Apparently, it wasn't irresponsible to amass over $31 TRILLION in debt and ignoring the multiple tens, if not hundreds, of TRILLIONS in unfunded federal liabilities. I disagree. It was utterly and totally irresponsible to bankrupt the country, and both parties are responsible for being irresponsible. Now we're in the bind that many of us have been predicting for decades. Fox News provides a glimpse of the irresponsibility we face.

Whenever these stories arise it's a good idea to go back and recall what Barack Obama said about the debt when he was campaigning for President in 2008.

Should Republicans continue the standoff or simply raise the debt ceiling and go along with the nonstop federal spending spree? Of course, if they do all of the dreadful numbers we see today will only continue to get worse. The Democrats don't care that the federal government has spent every tax dollar it has collected and is on the hook for hundreds of TRILLIONS more. They simply don't care. The spending has given them political power and the news media will side with them while portraying Republicans as the uncaring party wishing to make the lives of Americans more burdensome. It's a difficult situation for Republicans who want to do the right thing but are faced with the reality that America and most Americans wish to continue to live beyond our means.

At some point the mainstream U.S. news media will be forced to report on the extraordinary number of deaths that are occurring after people receive COVID "vaccines". One term that has emerged and isn't receiving nearly enough attention is something called "Sudden Adult Death Syndrome" (SADS). That is sad. It is also not limited to adults. Infants are dying. Maureen Dowling at the Independent Sentinel has the story.

What are those who are trying to sound the alarm up against? There's this from the Minneapolis StarTribune's Jennifer Brooks. As the evidence mounts that the so-called COVID "vaccines" are neither safe nor effective, it will be reporters such as Ms. Brooks will remain utterly silent.

President Trump has been receiving lots of advice following Tuesday's mid-term election results. I hope he heeds it. Most notably Mr. Trump decided to launch attacks against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who cruised to a huge victory, and Virginia Governor Glen Youngkin. For whatever reason Mr. Trump decided that the days following an election that did not live up to Republican expectations, except for Florida, that it was time to inject himself in the spotlight. Of all the commentaries and analysis following Mr. Trump's statments,
this view by Townhall's Mark Lewis most closely aligns with my view of the situation. I, too, am an ardent Trump supporter ... but ...

You probably heard about a professor who wrote an article for the Atlantic Magazine in which she calls for a "COVID Amnesty" for those who supported lockdowns during the Coronavirus pandemic. The response has been a furious "Hell No." And rightly so. These people haven't apologized for the panic and havoc they fomented for nearly two years. What's scary is they're more than willing to do it again. What's the argument for amnesty? The answer from the tyrants is "We meant well." Sorry (not sorry), that doesn't cut it. These people ruined lives, literally. Kids have been set back years in their development. Businesses were put out of business. Workers were put out of work. Andrew Miller at Townhall captures some of the sentiment in the response to the call for amnesty.

Brown University Economics Professor Emily Oster's attempt to make the case that supporters of lockdown measures "didn't know" that cloth masks were not effective, outdoor transmission of the virus was nonexistent, and were motivated by "deep uncertainty" is missing a key point. The data showed early on, just a month into the pandemic, that the virus posed little if any risk to kids, and those truly at risk were the elderly, especially those with comorbidies (other physical conditions or chronic diseases) that made them susceptible to viruses with their compromised immune systems. No, the maskaholics, the vaccine-mandaters, the panic-peddlers caused damage that is immeasureable. They trampled rights, they encroached on liberties and freedoms, and what's most frightening is they wouldn't hesitate to do it all again. No "amnesty" until they acknowledge that were wrong, very wrong.

It's MEA week in Minnesota, the Minnesota Educators Association's annual professional development weekend that starts on a Thursday. For the educators who don't fly off to the Caribbean, or some other short vacation destination during the four-day break, there are seminars scheduled to enhance teacher skills in the classroom, supposedly. The results of past MEA efforts are in and they're not good. Student performance levels have declined across the board. This man has a message for educators and School Boards that should be welcomed in MEA seminars if they truly want to see a closing of the gaps in student performance.

Of course public school educators and administrators blame COVID for the decline, not their increased focus on diversity and equity and gender identity (confusion). It wasn't the virus that closed schools or set education agendas. School Administrators and politicians closed schools in response to a virus, a virus that posed very little threat to children. That fact was known early on, the Spring of 2020. Still, there was a concerted effort to close the schools and there has been irreparable harm done to children as a result.

(10/20/22)
Democrats/progressives/socialists seem to struggle with the concept of inflation. They appear to not know what causes it or how to deal with it. Brilliant Economist Milton Friedman can simplify it for them, if they'll listen.

(10/19/22)
Let's remind ourselves of what the "experts" were telling us about the effectiveness of the COVID "vaccines" - the healthcare professionals, the politicians, and the corporate media. As it turns out, it was all untrue - translation: lies.

And those were clips just talking about the "vaccines" preventing transmission of the virus. They don't portray the claims made about "vaccine" safety.

(10/19/22)
Thanks and appreciation should be extended to Bill Maher. It is always refreshing when a liberal is willing to state reality when confronted with blatant political spinning. What has Maher whipped up this time? It's the attempt to change what we knew and when we knew it regarding the COVID virus.

(10/19/22)
The culture war has moved to center stage with the insistence by liberals that drag shows (men dressed as women) be, not only allowed, but encouraged in public schools. So, what is a drag show? Let's see.

(10/17/22)
Let the rewriting of history begin. Well, it has been underway for some time now, especially around the history of COVID-19, how it emerged, how governments responded to it, how the "science" changed over time, and the impacts of the pandemic on economies and societies. The latest: Dr. Anthony Fauci claims he had nothing to do with schools being closed.

And yet, somehow, the schools were closed. Someone closed them. Who did that? And what did they base those closures on?

(10/15/22)
It's finally happening. More and more information is coming to light about the supposed COVID "vaccines," how they were sold to the public, how safe and effective they truly are, and the efforts that were made to suppress information that questioned all of it. Townhall's Katie Pavlich captures all of it in her report, "The Big COVID Vaccine Lie Comes Crashing Down."

Sadly, it's doubtful any, any, of the people who fomented such misinformation and misled the public will be held accountable.

(9/22/22)
Remember when President Trump was ridiculed for carefully walking down a ramp after he addressed cadets at West Point? Many on the left questioned his health at the time. Good luck finding any comments from them when President Biden, if he isn't trying to shake hands with air, is wandering off trying to figure out where he's going.

(9/20/22)
This is interesting. A video has been produced that provides the history that created the "Climate Change Rhetoric" - from "Global Warming," the fear-phrase that climate alarmists/fearmongers initially used to scare people, to the fear rhetoric of today which is "climate change."

Pointing out to the alarmists that the climate has been changing since the creation of the Earth, or that the planet has experienced much higher levels of CO2 (when vegetation thrived) is ignored.

(9/16/22)
There is a superstar emerging in Arizona. Her name is Kari Lake. She's the Republican candidate for Arizona Governor in the November election. A journalist with an agenda decided to pose a loaded question to Ms. Lake. Here's how it went.
.

(9/15/22)
President Biden gave a speech a couple of weeks ago. You probably heard about it. In it he gave his views of what he called "MAGA Republicans." This video matched Biden's speech with leftist violence in America that he didn't work into his speech.

(9/5/22)
Quite a coincidence at the Minnesota State Fair. As Scott Jensen, Republican Candidate for Minnesota Governor, was speaking with WCCO TV's Esme Murphy about Governor Tim Walz's refusal to engage in more than one debate, and alleging that WCCO is complicit in helping the Governor give the illusion that he wants to debate, suddenly the feed from the fair was lost. Surely, pure coincidence. And what did WCCO run immediately following the interview? An attack ad against Jensen.

(9/5/22)
An interesting admission today. Remember John Brennan, former CIA Director? Possibly former Communist? He's on video talking about, get this, potentially seeding the atmosphere to reverse the effects of climate change. Bill Gates has made similar comments. They're talking about geoengineering the atmosphere. Instead of WEF it should be WTF?

(9/4/22)
So much to choose from today. A massive crowd in Pennsylvania last night chanted "We want Trump" (while Biden can't fill a gym); Arizona Candidate for Governor Kari Lake educated a reporter on freedom of speech; there is a devastating ad from "Citizens For Sanity" that documents the rise in crime throughout the country; and a prophetic video has surfaced from 1996 that shows David Icke predicting where we are today (scary accurate).

(9/1/22)
Bingo! An OpEd by Ari Schulman, published in the New York Times and reprinted in the Minneapolis StarTribune today, details exactly why the "Public Health Officials" in the United States have lost so much credibility.

(8/19/22)
This week the U.S. Center for Disease Control admitted the agency screwed up the country's response to the COVID pandemic. It's nice that they admitted what has been obvious to most of the country for over two years now. TownHall's Katie Pavlich recounts the CDC's failures, the agency's unforgiveable failures.

(7/28/22)
I enjoy reading Townhall's Kurt Schlichter. He's among the few who are truly in the fight to defend the country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Today he discusses a topic near and dear to me: Advocating for the cross-examination of the climate cultists.

(6/14/22)
As America approaches the one-year anniversary of the country's chaotic, deadly and embarrassing retreat from Afghanistan, let's remember what then-Senator and Presidential Candidate Joe Biden said in 2007 about what it would take to properly withdraw from Afghanistan.

President Trump made a number of predictions when he was on the campaign trail two years ago. How have those predictions played out? Let's see.

Townhall's Kurt Schlichter issues a warning to milquetoast Republican lawmakers: Don't go weak-kneed in protecting 2nd Amendment rights. If they do weaken they will surely lose their mid-term elections. He's not wrong.

Lot's of effort and pressure is being expended trying to convince Americans to buy electric vehicles (EVs). You have probably seen the non-stop ads on television. The belief is EVs will eventually be your only choice when it comes to purchasing a car or truck. Is that a good idea, to limit choices for Americans to only EVs? Here's a story that goes behind the scenes, or should we say under the hood of an EV, to tell the whole story?

Prager University provides an excellent summary of the the environmental costs associated with"Green Energy

Townhall's Kurt Schlichter has pin-pointed where problems exist in our public schools, and they are "our" public schools, not the misfits who have tried to take them over. Anyone seeing Tik Tok videos of "teachers" feeling a need to share their "gender identities" with Kindergartners knows what he's talking about.

It has taken a year-and-a-half but even the liberal news media organizations the New York Times and the Washington Post have now acknowledged that what they have denied is, in fact, true. What's true? The information contained on Hunter Biden's laptop. What did emails contained on Hunter Biden's laptop reveal? Financial dealings with foreign countries, including Communist China, portions of which, 10 percent, would be given to the "Big Guy." Who is the "Big Guy"? Several Congressmen want to find out. One of them is Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan.

When the entire story is written about the COVID "Plannedemic" there will be a chapter dedicated to the therapeutic "Ivermectin." This potential treatment to confront the COVID-19 virus was, at first, ridiculed and attacked by liberal politicians and liberal news organizations as a "dangerous treatment that needed to be avoided." As more and more people shared stories that they had positive results from taking this treratment, the medical establishment, the pharmaceutical industry, liberal politicians, and liberal news and social media outlets conspired to mount a campaign to shutdown any discussion about the efficacy of "Ivermectin." Then, in April 2022, over two years after the emergence of COVID-19, researchers in Australia reported this.

(4/9/22)
There's so much talk these days about the need to confront misinformation. One place to start would be the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC). Remember this from over a year ago from CDC Director Rochelle Walensky:

Yes, the CDC Director said COVID vaccines prevent one from contracting COVID or spreading it to others. We now know that wasn't, and isn't, true. Did any social media platform shutdown the CDC for spreading misinformation? Nope.

(2/13/22)
It is becoming almost too much to believe. Now, Public Health officials have decided they need to withhold current COVID-19 data because it's being used as evidence to end "vaccine" mandates, mask requirements, and other COVID-related restrictions. Apoorva Mandavilli at the New York Times has the story.

Within Ms. Mandavilli's article is this quote: "The C.D.C. is a political organization as much as it is a public health organization," said Samuel Scarpino, managing director of pathogen surveillance at the Rockefeller Foundation's Pandemic Prevention Institute. "The steps that it takes to get something like this released are often well outside of the control of many of the scientists that work at the C.D.C."

__________________________________________________

(2/20/22)
The CDC in the U.S. isn't the only organization that has decided to withhold COVID data. It is happening in other countries. Jonathan Turley reports Scotland's Public Health community is already restricting release of the data.

(2/13/22)
It's difficult to understand what to make of this document from the UK. Seems very important. The document contains the largest compilation of "vaccine" analysis, sources, and conclusions that I have seen. I'm posting it simply because so many social media companies are censoring, downplaying, or outright silencing all analysis and discussion that is raising questions about the structure and elements of the "vaccines" that are being injected into humans by the hundreds of millions around the world. The information suppression efforts should concern everyone.

__________________________________________________

(1/16/22)
You may have heard there's a lot of misinformation out there about COVID-19, how it is spread, and how it should be treated. What isn't getting a lot of attention is who is spreading it. Arsenio Toledo at Truth Based Media says he knows.

(1/11/22)
Well, this is encouraging. CNN's Jake Tapper is realizing that COVID data that has been reported has flaws and is "misleading." In this interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Gupta admits the data should be handled differently. People showing up at hospitals for other conditions, such as accidents, should not be counted as COVID patients if they are asymptomatic and are seeking treatment for non-COVID-related illnesses or injuries.

What's spreading faster than the Omicron variant of COVID-19? Insanity. What in the world is going on? A year ago, practically the entire United States was unvaccinated. "Vaccines" had just become available in late 2020. The first half of 2021 found much of the country rushing to get vaccinated. What do the numbers show? More Americans died "with" COVID in 2021 than in 2020 when no one was "vaccinated." This situation doesn't add up.

When historians decades/centuries from now attempt to understand what was happening in the world in the early 2020s, specifically the United States, I hope they come across this story. It's a story of how Public Health authorities deliberately misled the public about treatments that were immediately available to combat the symptoms and dangers posed by the COVID-19 virus that had infected millions around the world. It took freelance investigative journalists to uncover the story because the mainstream media refused to get and report the facts. In fact, the media in many respects contributed to the ruse and were complicit in squashing stories challenging the accepted government narrative. Here's the story titled, "A Myth is Born: How CDC, FDA, and Media Wove a Web of Ivermectin Lies That Outlives The Truth":
Let's see how long the story stays up until it is censored.

Would you like to hear a federal government bureaucrat who is unable to speak a simple truth? There are probably many examples out there but this one in particular shows just how bad it can be. Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst asked DoD Under Secretary for Policy, Dr. Colin Kahl, a straight forward question about Americans left behind in Afghanistan. Dr. Kahl was unable to admit the obvious. So, Sen. Ernst turned to Lieutenant General James Mingus of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who was seated beside Dr. Kahl, and asked him the same question which he answered directly. Watch. These political appointees are obfuscating and deliberately misleading the American people about what was done leading up to, and the aftermath, of the United States "retrograde" (Translation: Retreat) from Afghanistan.

This is what our elected officials have to put up with in trying to manage our unelected bureaucracy in Washington, D.C. They are unaccountable, they believe they can stonewall, obfuscate, and give, at times, outright false testimony. This will not end until people lose their jobs when they engage in this type of behavior.

Some people have pointed out I sure don't post things very often. Right, I don't. The reason? There's too much crap disseminated everyday by people on "the tech giants" who have very little or nothing of value to say. So, I want to limit my posts to the things that are of value, or to matters that people should be paying attention to. Today is one of those days. This issue came to light today and Americans should find it appalling. The Epoch Times carries the headline the "Biden Administration 'Strongly Opposes' Honorable Discharge for Troops Who Refuse COVID-19 Vaccine'."

How awful. Truly disgusting. People who have volunteered to protect and defend this country are facing the loss of veterans benefits if they resign/quit instead of receiving vaccinations they don't want. This nonsense has to stop.

"Critical Race Theory" is much in the news these days. What's really needed, however, is not theory but actual "Critical Race History," and Townhall's Cal Thomas provides it in this commentary titled, "Democrats need a day of atonement."

More garbage "reporting" from the StarTribune this morning. They would have us believe CO2 levels are rising faster than EVER." EVER! Well, since the late-1800s ... which is EVER. These headlines are so ridiculous and dishonest. FACT: CO2 levels are far less than 10% what they once were on Earth. Far less. Fact check it. What's embarrassing is that these "reports" go unchallenged and taken as fact. They're not. They are sensationalized to keep climate-alarmism going. Few climate scientists question whether it's a good idea to place CO2 monitoring equipment on the top of a volcano.

This should scare every American, but it won't because most Americans will be kept in the dark about the social engineering that is underway in the U.S. military. Some of us, retired military, are following it. Richard Berg (Pen Name) has an article printed in National Review magazine that outlines the dangers ahead.

Today's StarTribune includes a commentary from Sandy Lewandowsky, the Superintendent of Plymouth (MN) School District 287. It carries the headline "The Kids Need Help." Yes, they do. And who is to blame for that? I'll tell you who - she is, and all of the other Democrats who kept kids out of school for the past year. It's Democrats who ignored the science that kids were the age group least affected by COVID. Democrats will claim they were "saving lives." Did they? We're just seeing the statistics showing soaring suicide rates, especially among the kids, soaring rates of depression, chemical dependency, and bankruptcies over the past year. I know Democrats believe they shouldn't face political consequences, or pay a political price, for the decisions they made this past year. I disagree. They need to be held accountable for what they imposed on the state since the outbreak of the pandemic. We're 15 months into the "two weeks to flatten the curve" and Governor Walz claims he still needs emergency powers to respond to the "emergency." It isn't an emergency. That ended well over a year ago.

"Clean House in 2025" is a slogan I can get behind. Townhall's Kurt Schlichter, always insightful, states that needs to happen. Schlichter says not cleaning house in 2017 was Trump's biggest mistake. He's right. Trump allowed people dedicated to stopping him and destroying him to keep their jobs within the U.S. government. Sadly, to the detriment of the country, they succeeded to some degree. One remaining question is has the final chapter of the Trump Administration been written?

(5/3/21)

Journalism is not dead ... in Canada. David Common, a CBC news anchor had the nerve to ask Steven Guilbeault, the Minister of Canadian Heritage, a liberal, some follow up questions during a recent interview. This is fun. Watch a liberal squirm as he is confronted with a reporter actually doing his job in trying to get answers to actions a Canadian Parliament Committee took regarding a broadcasting bill.

(5/3/21)
Talk about petty and asinine. If you have been following the latest regarding the July 4th celebration at Mount Rushmore, asinine is about the only way to describe a recent announcement from the Pentagon. Powerline's Steven Hayward has the details.

(4/19/21)
This is rich. Townhall is reporting that Rep. Maxine Waters (Democrat-CA) requested a police escort when she came to Minnesota over the weekend to foment confrontation. That really takes a lot of nerve. During her visit Rep. Waters threatened Chauvin trial jurors that they better find former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin "guilty of murder," or else. Or else what, you ask? I'm sure our crack local media is trying to get clarification. Meanwhile, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has, reportedly, asked for assistance from law enforcement agencies in other midwestern states, such as Ohio. Clearly, he's expecting many "peaceful protesters" to show up and exercise their First Amendment rights. Final arguments are being made today in the Derek Chauvin trial. Then the case goes to the jury and we wait for the outcome.

Democrats please help us out here. Doesn't requiring the showing of an ID in order to board an aircraft disenfranchise people from traveling? And, doesn't that somehow impose a hardship on people? Something doesn't square here.

Scott Johnson at Powerline reports it's "THE PENTAGON VERSUS TUCKER CARLSON" - What is going on here? While the military should be focused on winning our nation's military battles, it has instead decided to engage in the culture war. Accommodating "transgender" people? So-called "Climate Change"? (Fact Check: The climate has been changing since Earth's creation. Ask any scientist when was the Earth's climate not changing? They can't point to any period when it wasn't.) Lowering physical fitness standards?

News/Commentary: When is the media going to start accurately reporting on the election challenges that are currently underway in the courts and Congress? CNN's Jake Tapper is just one anchor that doesn't seem to know the difference. These efforts by Trump and his legal team are not "overturning an election." They are being made to recognize the rightful winner of the General Election.

Mr. Trump won this election, most of the country knows it, even many Democrats and the media know it.

Facts:

  • No court has agreed to hear the evidence of voter fraud in multiple states.

  • States have "certified" vote totals that exceed the number of registered voters in their respective states.

  • A voting machine in Antrim County, Michigan, was found to have switched 6,000 votes from President Trump to Biden, and the votes were switched due to programing in the machine instead of human error.

  • Thousands of affidavits have been signed by people stating they witnessed fraudulent ballot-counting activity.

  • Each of the swing states stopped counting votes in the middle of the night. Why? When they resumed, again early in the morning, there were identified spikes in vote totals almost exclusively in favor of Biden.
  • In Georgia, video shows suitcases with ballots being pulled from under tables and full of ballots and fed into machines without observers present.

  • On national television, votes were shown as being changed on screen from Trump to Biden. ________________________________________________________________________

News/Commentary: Swamp draining is a slow and tedious process, but it has to be done. Yesterday President Trump fired the State Department's Inspector General, Steve Linick, as the Boston Globe's Matthew Lee reports. Lee's report states, "In a letter to Congress, Trump said Linick, who had held the job since 2013, no longer had his full confidence and that his removal would take effect in 30 days."

With all of the revelations that came out this past week about the Intelligence Community and other Deep State shenanigans during President Trump's candidacy and the early days of his administration the real question should be why weren't these guys fired sooner? Where were they while the agencies they were sworn to monitor were trampling on the rule of law? President Trump's actions simply amount to holding people accountable which it appears is something Washington isn't used to.

News/Commentary: Remember, Woodstock Occurred in the Middle of a Pandemic. The American Economic Research Institute provides the details that the Hong Kong flu spread from China to the United States, ultimately killing 100,000 people in the U.S., mostly over the age of 65, and one million worldwide. That was 50 years ago. Today we're quarantining the healthy.

    (5/13/20)
News/Commentary: As can now be expected NBC News has mischaracterized President Trump's decision to push for the reopening of America. As the article explains Mr. Trump has weighed the pros and cons of keeping the country largely closed and decided that the bigger risk facing the country is the collapse of our recent great economy. NBC News has an agenda, exhibited every Sunday morning by Chuck Todd and MTP. An accurate headline would read, "Trump weighs new warning signs in push to re-open the country."

    (5/12/20)
News/Commentary: #Obamagate went viral on Twitter shortly after President Trump posted the hashtag in a one-word tweet - Speaks for itself doesn't it? At last count the hashtag had over 3 million "Likes." I tend to agree with the conclusion that Daniel Greenfield of Frontpage Magazine has reached when he says, "Obama operatives committed treason for political gain. Only one man had the power to command them, to reward them, and to bring together the forces that spied on men, women, and on a nation. Obamagate is not just the reckoning the nation needs: it’s the reckoning that the rule of law deserves."

As much as I would like to get my hopes up that justice will prevail, I'm going to hold off getting any hopes up until there's actual evidence that someone is moving to hold conspirators against President Trump accountable. Until then, the Obamagate memes are sadly both funny and scary.

    (5/11/20)
News/Commentary: Jimmy Knutson, owner of Jim's Ash Trail Store near Orr in Northern MN, speaks for many of Minnesota's small business owners. He provides some facts for Gov. Walz to consider regarding his "Stay At Home" orders. Knutson points out that there's no camping, no traffic from Canada, no houseboats, no fishing guides & Gov. Walz is telling fishermen to only go as far as a tank of gas. Knutson says, " That’s almost 90% of his business gone." That's just some of the impact Minnesota's business owners faced heading into the fishing opener over the weekend.

How about Mother's Day? How much business was lost because dine-in restaurants were closed? Sales tax revenues lost, gas tax revenues lost, fishing license revenue lost, and property taxes are coming due with no revenue stream coming in to pay them. All this is happening while MN Gov. Walz fiddles with his dials. Minnesota businesses can reopen responsibly. Let them!

News/Commentary: Come on people, get tested for the COVID-19 virus, pleads MN Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm. If I may summarize: "We need to get our numbers up! Our numbers are nowhere near what we projected them to be when we shut down the state. If we don't get numbers up the people of the state are going to start thinking why did we just ruin the American economy? We can't have that." Okay, that probably wouldn't be Commissioner Malcolm's take on the situation, but it is for most Minnesotans and they're going to be highly upset when they realize hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans were put out of work over projections that were woefully inaccurate.

On Friday, Commissioner Malcolm related "Minnesota’s hospitals, labs and clinics have the ability to test over 10,000 people a day, but last week fewer than 4,000 sought a test on the average day." What seems lost on Public Health people, and Gov. Walz, is that as testing numbers grow they only change the denominator in fractions that determine the percentage of people who have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus. As the denominator grows, fractions become smaller. Larger denominators mean the only thing to be learned is that the virus impact is even less than has already been recorded. When all the numbers are in we'll likely see the death toll to be similar to flu totals the country experiences every year. For that, the American economy was eviscerated.

    (5/8/20)
News/Commentary: The bad days for Democrats just keep piling up. Add Evelyn Farkas to the pile. Who is Evelyn Farkas? She is a former DOD official who went on MSNBC a few years ago and claimed there was evidence of Trump/Russia collusion. Well, we now learn from The Federalist that "Obama Defense Official Evelyn Farkas Admitted She Lied On MSNBC About Having Evidence Of Collusion" In fact, Ms. Farkas, who is now running for Congress admitted "I didn't know anything." There's so much more that's going to come out about this entire "collusion" fiasco it will be head spinning. Will it matter to those on the left? No.

    (5/8/20)
News/Commentary: This needs much more attention than it is going to get. As has been suspected for months now, the computer model used to predict the deaths that would likely result from the spread of the COVID-19 virus was seriously, seriously flawed. Tyler Durden at Zerohedge.com has the details.

The last two paragraphs of the report contain the essence of what was discovered:

"Most of us are familiar with the computing adage, “Garbage In/Garbage Out” and the untrained reader may think that’s what (is) being asserted in this code review. It isn’t. What’s being asserted is that output is garbage, regardless of the input.

In this case, the output we’re experiencing as a result is a worldwide lockdown and shutdown of the global economy, and we don’t really know if this was necessary or not because we have no actual data (aside from Sweden) and severely flawed models."

    (5/8/20)
News/Commentary: What do Gen. Michael Flynn, Shelly Luther, and former NJ Governor Chris Christie have in common? They were the vanguard in receiving some justice yesterday from courts around the country, including the U.S. Supreme Court. It was a big day for justice, well at least the beginning to get justice for all.

It's fitting that the decisions that were handed down came on the National Day of Prayer.

In the case of Flynn, President Trump blasted the Obama Department of Justice calling senior DOJ officials then "human scum" guilty of "treason" after the current DOJ dropped the case against Flynn. Evidence has come to light that Obama sought plausible deniability about knowing anything regarding the DOJ/FBI investigation of Flynn.

News/Commentary: Thank you to the Upper Midwest Law Center for representing small businesses in Minnesota and filing a law suit against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the arbitrary and discriminatory orders that he has issued in response to the coronavirus.

Here is what the UMLC lawsuit seeks:
“In this litigation we ask the Court to declare Governor Walz’ executive orders unconstitutional and enjoin him, Attorney General Keith Ellison, and the county attorneys charged with enforcement of the executive orders from enforcing them. The Plaintiff businesses also seek money damages from Governor Walz for the tremendous losses they have faced due to the executive orders. Governor Walz’ orders exceed his statutory authority and violate fundamental rights, so we will be seeking a temporary restraining order from the U.S. District Court and are prepared to take this matter to the Eighth Circuit and Supreme Court if needed.”

    (5/7/20)
News/Commentary: Project Veritas is great. I always look forward to its reports. Their latest release allegedly involves "CBS News staging an event and portraying it as news." CBS News denies it did such a thing. With the credibility of most major news organizations in shambles it's quite easy to believe PV's version of what happened.

    (5/6/20)
News/Commentary: If you thought "Social Distancing" guidelines to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are voluntary, think again.

There are now numerous viral videos of law enforcement showing up at businesses, and beaches, and parks, and churches, and wherever someone has complained that people appear to be "too close together." Chicago's Mayor stands out as an exceptionally egregious violater of individual Constitutional rights. I often wish I was a lawyer to be able to challenge some of these dictates that have resulted in clear abuse of power. What is truly frightening is that what we're witnessing these days could be viewed as a dry run for when these same socialist zealots determine climate change is an existential threat to the country.

    (5/4/20)
News/Commentary: Townhall's Katie Pavlich reports, "President Trump has officially endorsed Rep. Ilahn Omar's opponent." President Donald Trump took to Twitter this morning to endorse Lacy Johnson, the man running to defeat Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in the fall.

    (5/4/20)
Commentary: Kurt Schlichter at Townhall says, "America Doesn’t Have A Justice System Anymore." I don't want to believe that; however, if those at the FBI who appear to have conspired to frame an American Patriot are not held accountable (indicted) then I would have to agree with Mr. Schlichter. Sadly what has been coming to light in the efforts to get LTG Michael Flynn are shocking, or should be considered shocking, to everyone.

    (5/2/20)
News/Commentary: Here is Governor Tim Walz's Executive Order 20-48 in which he extends his "Stay-at-Home" Order to May 18th. It's 40 pages. Someone needs to explain why supposedly 80% of the state's workers can work (ID'd as "essential"), but the other 20% can't. It's arbitrary and tramples on the rights of the "non-essential." It's quite insulting actually. Every business is essential to someone - owners, employees, customers.

Instead, Governor Walz should issue his guidelines for opening businesses and "allow" business owners to figure out how to accommodate their employees and customers in this pandemic environment. Right now the Governor's orders come across as dictatorial. Frustration with that approach is growing. He may soon have another pandemic in the form of civil disobedience on his hands. The state's business owners and the newly unemployed have essentially taken the approach that they'll go along with the Governor's Orders for a while but at some point businesses and the future of the unemployed will be at stake.

    (5/2/20)
Commentary: If there's one thing Trump supporters don't fear it's polls showing President Trump trailing maybe-Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden. Mr. Trump trailed Hillary Clinton right up to the point he was declared President-Elect of the United States. What accounted for that? The pollsters won't admit it, and the MSM certainly won't report on it, that most conservatives in the country have "checked out" and don't cooperate or participate in polls. There's a silent majority that waits quietly for their opportunity to participate in the one poll that counts. So, Democrats keep believing that your "Champion" is leading Mr. Trump. We're counting on it. But, when President Trump is re-elected don't get mad. We're all in this together and we need to come together for the benefit of the future of the country.

    (5/1/20)
News/Commentary: It's always a great way to start the day when you get answers to questions that the Swamp has refused to answer and have stonewalled in every way possible those seeking answers. Today's question is: "Why Did The Feds Go After General Flynn In The First Place?," and is answered by Townhall's Marina Medvin. It has become increasingly clear that the powers of the federal government were used to extort a confession from a highly-decorated, senior military officer.

    (4/30/20)
News/Commentary: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has again extended his stay-at-home order another two weeks to May 18th. His most recent extension was due to expire on Monday, May 4th. Gov. Walz continues to ignore data that shows the COVID-19 virus is already more widely spread throughout the U.S. and less lethal than initially believed. It's clear from the data generated in the past two months that those most at risk of succumbing to the virus are elderly (70+) and have existing medical conditions prior to acquiring the disease.

I believe Gov. Walz is rapidly approaching the end of the patience of most Minnesotans. The unemployed will be able to survive for a couple of months on enhanced unemployment benefits, but eventually those are going to run out and those people will need jobs to return to. Meanwhile, business owners who have seen their income streams reduced to zero have bills to pay. They need to know when they're going to be able to resume their services to customers.

It's an absolute disaster what has happened to this country in the last two months. The greatest economy the world has seen was locked down essentially in a instant. What's truly frightening is seeing the number of people who are fine with 30 million people losing their jobs in six weeks, tens of thousands of businesses ordered closed, and the savings of millions of people being wiped out. Is this all a dry run if, or when, the Climate Alarmists gain power and decide Climate Change is a National Emergency? That's another truly frightening thought.

    (4/29/20)
Commentary: Cheryl Chumley at the Washington Times has brought to light just what is going on with the reporting of the COVID-19 virus. Her story is headlined, "Coronavirus hype biggest political hoax in history." There is mounting evidence that this is the case. The American economy has been essentially shutdown over what?

The stated goal at the time the economy was shuttered was to "flatten the curve" so the medical system wasn't overrun with COVID patients. Where are we a month later? --> Fox News reports, "Mayo Clinic to furlough or cut pay of 30,000 employees." Hospitals are facing financial crisis because they have stopped offering what are called elective services, such as cancer screenings, and what are considered minor or routine medical procedures. This is crazy. And we've done it to ourselves. Instead of acknowledging the scary "Millions will die!" projections of a couple of months ago were, thankfully, highly inaccurate, the powers that be seem reluctant to apply actual data to the models that were used and update them.

    (4/29/20)
Commentary: So, how has the Common Core curriculum performed since it was introduced to the American education system a decade ago? Pretend you're shocked when you learn from Matt Barnum at Chalkbeat that standard test scores declined. His report is titled, "Nearly a decade later, did the Common Core work? New research offers clues." Many of us knew Common Core was crap when it emerged on the scene and now test results are verifying it.

    (4/27/20)
Commentary: "28 Million Mail-In Ballots Went Missing in Last Four Elections," reports Mark Hemingway at RealClearPolitics. Those pushing to use mail-only ballots are probably fine that this happened. They most likely don't care what happened to those ballots, or why that happened. The bottom line is mail-only balloting sets up situations that are ripe for fraud. Proponents and opponents of the movement both know it.

    (4/24/20)
Commentary: It's happened again. Townhall's Kevin McCollough has today's required reading. You're not going to be happy to read his findings: "Antibody Testing: Proves We've Been Had!" We've known the numbers related to the mortality and spreadability of the COVID-19 virus were being inflated. We didn't know to what degree until now.

While Mr. McCollough reports on the new data, David Limbaugh breaks it down further. He's concluded there's reason to be positive and cautious about how the country moves forward from here. He has titled his commentary "Uncertainty About COVID-19 Warrants Our Humility."

    (4/23/20)
Commentary: The New York Times is reporting that a "Coronavirus Vaccine Doctor Says He Was Fired Over Doubts on Hydroxychloroquine." Wrong. Dr. Rick Bright, who until this week was the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), was reassigned to another job at the National Institute of Health because he, in typical bureaucrat fashion, footdragged making chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine widely available for the use by doctors who choose to prescribe these anti-viral medications in treating COVID-19 patients.

Consider Dr. Bright to be part of the resist movement within the federal government who has taken it upon himself to decide Administration policy. In situations where the entrenched bureaucracy doesn't like or agree with a policy decision of those appointed over them, they delay, ignore, or outright counter directives that they have been given. Dr. Bright should consider himself fortunate he wasn't fired outright as he should've been.

    (4/23/20)
Commentary: Once again, Townhall's Kurt Schlichter nails it - "The Democrats Totally Want A Depression." What evidence exists that Democrats want the economic carnage that has occurred over the past two months to end?

    (4/22/20)
Commentary: So, the Center For Disease Control is saying the "second wave of coronavirus is likely to be even more devastating" than what the country is experiencing now.

Two months ago the CDC was projecting over two million Americans would die from complications from the "novel Coronavirus/Chinese Virus/Wuhan Virus." In a matter of just a couple of months that figure has been revised downward to below 60,000. And this figure of 60,000 will include all those who died with underlying medical conditions (heart disease, cancer, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, kidney failure), all of which combined take the lives of millions of people every year.

The CDC's projections on the lethality of this new virus have been so far off why would we continue what amounts to be the essential shutdown of the nation's economy? The Federal Reserve is simply printing money. The Congress and the President are spending it, meanwhile the economic engine that is expected to pay for all of this spending is, for the most part, idled. The danger signs are flashing in our faces and too few are doing anything about it. Sorry kids!

    (4/21/20)
Commentary: Something that I thought I would never see in my lifetime occurred yesterday, and as it turns out no one has seen their lifetimes either. I'm talking about the price of a barrel of oil falling below zero. Below zero! A negative number! For oil! Dan Bongino reports that President Trump is planning to seize the moment to refill America's oil reserve. Since President Trump's election in 2016 the United States became energy independent and an exporter of oil. This is a radical change from what out our country was experiencing for decades. We were completely reliant on imported oil from the Middle East, and now not so much. Thank goodness for that.

    (4/21/20)
Commentary: Last week President Trump created quite a stir when he tweeted "LIBERATE MINNESOTA," "LIBERATE MICHIGAN," "LIBERATE VIRGINIA"! Liberals cried and decried Trump's rallying cry, claiming it brings politics into the fight against the Coronavirus. Democrats would never bring politics into such a fight, right? Please. It's been political since Mr. Trump was denounced for imposing a travel ban from China at the end of January. He was called rascist, xenophobic. Now, in joining the fray, Cal Thomas has gone a step further with a call to "Liberate America."

    (4/20/20)
Commentary: They Can’t Stop Us from Re-Opening America, says Kurt Schlichter at Townhall.com. Or can they? The political divide is spilling into decisions surrounding when to lift draconian "Close your businesses/Stay-at-Home" orders that governors throughout the U.S. have issued. Democrat Governors seem to be more willing to footdrag the re-opening of their states than Republican Governors.

Several states didn't issue those orders and have faired as well as those that shuttered their economies. It will take years to just calculate the economic carnage that has resulted from the shutdown of the once most vibrant economy in the world. Every state will now face budget deficits that would have been considered unfathomable a couple of months ago.

What sounds so hollow for those of us who are Pro-Life is when Democrat Governors say they are so concerned about saving lives and yet won't lift a finger to support restrictions on abortions. In fact, Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer said last week that abortion is "life saving" and therefore considered essential services in that state.

And Virginia's Governor Ralph Northam went so far last year to support "post birth abortion," after the baby is outside the mother, in other words "murder" of the newborn. So Democrats, please spare us the rhetoric that you're so concerned about "saving lives." You might be concerned about saving selected lives, but not all.

    (4/19/20)
    Commentary:

Oh Democrats, please, please, please add Gov. Whitmer to your ticket in November.
Please, please, please do that. Just ignore those Republicans salivating at the thought of Whitmer joining Biden on the Democratic ticket. Please Democrats, pay no attention to the 300K+ signatures on a petition seeking to recall Gov. Whitmer.

Right now I can picture a Trump rally in Michigan. The place is packed and rockin - and Trump is loaded with all kinds things to talk about related to what's going on in Michigan. He might even work in abortion being "life saving."

    (4/18/20)
Commentary: StarTribune Editorial writer John Rash used today’s Opinion Page column to discuss the findings in a report that the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) recently released. In typical StarTribune practice, Mr. Rash chooses to focus on the negative aspects of what the report had to say about President Trump and his Administration, namely the fears of using terms such as “Fake News” and “enemy of the people” in his interactions with the press. President Trump hasn’t destroyed the credibility of the press. The press has done that on its own. I have more to say on this here.

    (4/18/20)
For the Followup File: I don't have time to get to this today, but at some point I need to research this story that appeared in the New York Times and concerned immigrants working at Chinese or other foreign country entities. The question that needs to be answered is, "Has the U.S. Refugee Resettlement program been used to provide labor to foreign-owned companies located in the United States?" The New York Times story: "South Dakota Meat Plant Is Now Country’s Biggest Coronavirus Hot Spot Refugees from around the world worked at the Smithfield pork factory in Sioux Falls. Commentary: The Minneapolis StarTribune's Opinion Page cartoonist, Steve Sack, often depicts President Trump in a negative way, which fits in nicely with the overall biased daily reporting of the publication. The most recent agenda being pushed by most of the liberal/Mainstream Media is that Mr. Trump is attempting to re-write history surrounding the origin of the COVID-19/Coronavirus/Chinese Wuhan Virus, its spread throughout the world, and specifically this country's response to it. Mr. Sack's cartoon today is part of that agenda. Below I have added what Mr. Sack could've and should've added to his cartoon to make it accurate. It isn't Trump who is re-writing history.

The media was highly upset earlier this week when the President used his daily Coronavirus briefing to playback how the media was downplaying the threat of this virus early on. They really didn't like their words being played back to them. You see, the re-writing of the Coronavirus history is how the media and Democratic "leadership" in Congress was portraying this virus while the President was initiating a travel ban from China, forming a Coronavirus Task Force, and preparing Guidelines for states and the public to use in helping prevent the spread of the virus.

Since those early days of the emergence of this new virus, we've learned China and the World Health Organization were lying about the origin of the virus, its characteristics (spreadability, lethality), and overall the threat it was posing. Mr. Trump recognized it, acted, and now the media wants to ignore the key leadership steps he took to confront the threat that has essentially shutdown societies throughout the world.

Commentary: Clearly, I'm a staunch supporter of President Trump. Anyone who stumbles on this website will undoubtedly conclude I like the job President Trump has done and is doing. BUT, I have a problem with this: "In unprecedented move, Treasury orders Trump’s name printed on stimulus checks," as reported by the Washington Post. If Mr. Trump was behind the order to do this, he needs to rescind it. I agree with those who say this is just inappropriate.

First, it's a terribly distressing situation that the need for "stimulus checks" exists. The funds to cover the checks being cut (or ETF'd) will come from future generations of Americans. The country is spending the futures of our children, and their children, and their children...

Secondly, they really aren't stimulus checks; they are "Here are some funds so people can pay for their basic needs to survive - rent, mortgages, utilities, food ... "

Finally, the amounts being sent, while definitely helpful, will cover just a fraction of the damage that the various levels of government have inflicted on the population. The "Coronavirus/COVID-19/Chinese Virus/Wuhan Virus" has upended the world, milllions and millions of jobs have been lost due to thousands and thousands of businesses being forced to close. When are they coming back, if they ever come back? Who knows? What. A. Mess. Since governments at all levels have inflicted the financial pain that is being experienced, it's only fair that those same government levels do something to alleviate some of the suffering that they have inflicted.

Commentary: Hey, here's some good news among our daily inundation of doom and gloom: Minnesota's DNR is calling off its fish egg harvest. That's fantastic. The practice of robbing some lakes of fish to stock others has been pretty much a disaster. Ask resort owners and fishermen on Mille Lacs Lake. Over the years, instead of letting nature repopulate lakes, the DNR at some point decided it was a good idea to rob some lakes of game fish so others could be stocked. This practice has led to the disaster that is Mille Lacs Lake. Oh you can fish on Mille Lacs, just don't think you're going to be able to keep more than a fish or two. Call it "DNR's MNLARS"! It just hasn't generated as much attention. Those who enjoy fishing, or those who make a living accommodating those who enjoy fishing, recognize the DNR's mismanagement of our state's most touted natural resource - its lakes. Another thing, the DNR demands they have approval authority in what lakeshore property owners do with their property, which has led to the overgrowth of milfoil weeds and algae and is leading to the death of many lakes in the state. Some media types might want to look into that issue.

Commentary: You don't say! Really? The U.S. has been counting Coronavirus deaths differently than other countries? Many of us have suspected this since the virus outbreak in the U.S. began in January. At yesterday's Coronavirus press briefing at the White House, Dr. Deborah Birx, the Coronavirus Response Coordinator, acknowledged that "right now if someone dies with COVID-19, we're counting that as a COVID-19 death," Birx said. Birx went on to say, "There are other countries that if you had a pre-existing condition and let's say the virus caused you to go the ICU and then have a heart or kidney problem. Some countries are recording that as a heart issue or a kidney issue and not a COVID-19 death."

This would explain the significant drop off that the country is experiencing in average heart disease, cancer, pneumonia, diabetes, and COPD death rates. It also leads to the conclusion that most of the deaths being attributed to COVID-19 are people who have died WITH the virus and not FROM the virus. Thousands of Americans die every day in this country of these maladies. Now those deaths are being categorized as "COVID-19" deaths. Anybody see a problem with that?

The United States economy, the envy of the world, has been essentially shutdown due to a virus that most people survive if they get infected. In the meantime Constitutional rights have been trampled. Suicide rates have shot up. Millions are now desperate for jobs. Those who have retired or are approaching retirement have seen much of their life savings evaporate.

And were still hearing public health officials call for a national quarantine. They're pushing for a shutdown of the United States for 18 months. No way that's going to happen. The country can't afford another month of this. President Trump - Lift the National Emergency on May 1st! Encourage state Governors to lift their "Stay at Home" orders, and encourage businesses to reopen. Encourage elderly people, those in the highest risk group, to continue to take precautions. Hopefully it isn't too late to undo the great damage that has been done.

Commentary: I am an ardent supporter of President Trump. I can't claim strongest supporter because he has many and there must certainly be supporters more ardent than me. I believe President Trump is doing a magnificent job of leading the U.S. federal government's efforts to contain and eventually eliminate the "Coronavirus" that has found its way around the world.

Where I differ with the President, however, is his response to the position taken by Kentucky Republican Rep. Thomas Massie. Rep. Massie was the lone Republican to oppose the massive $2+ TRILLION stimulus bill that Congress passed and President Trump has signed into law.

I agree the stimulus legislation is needed to stabilize the economy and help offset the massive financial losses and unemployment that federal and state goverments have imposed on private-sector businesses, large and small, throughout the country. Massie was right to question the negative long-term financial impact that this legislation will have on another looming crisis - the National Debt. The debt is soaring, that too is growing exponentially and very few in Congress are even paying lip service to it anymore. I would've preferred the President agree with Rep. Massie that the questions and issues he has raised are valid, that the country does need to address the financial disaster the country faces as the National Debt skyrockets and the horizon when financial collapse occurs just got a lot closer.

Commentary: Thank you Dennis Prager! Thank you for providing the perspective that is so desparately needed as the world continues to shut down. Who among us ever believed our American way of life could be brought down by something that might happen? Oh, the "Coronavirus" is happening. There's certainly no denying that. But to see the utter shutdown of society has been unprecedented. Never could Americans have predicted that our government could or would dictate the closing of businesses, how businesses are to operate if allowed to remain open, limiting the size of gatherings, postponing elections, halting travel, essentially all of how we live. All of this in the land of the free and home of the brave. It's prudent to heed the advice that's being given (washing hands, "social distancing," and so on). But to see the draconian measures that are being dictated and ordered is unsettling to say the least.

Prager's piece ends with the chilling example of what will we do when authorities gain power who view climate change as an existential threat? What will we do then when those officials decide we need to implement the same measures to "save the planet"? Precedent has been set. Perspective has been lost. Let's hope it isn't too late to undo the damage that has been done.

We've known for years about the devastation that would occur following the detonation of a nuclear device in space above the United States. The Electromagnetic Pulse that would result would shutdown most of the nation's electric grid. Millions of people would die. Are we prepared for that?

Commentary: Townhall's Matt Vespa has taken the media to task over its role in creating the panic that has swept the nation the past two weeks due to the "Coronavirus." His article is headlined, "How the Liberal Media Earned Their 'Enemy of the People' Title Today at Trump's Wuhan Virus Presser."

Vespa concludes by adding perspective to the current situation:

"The Swine Flu killed 12,000 people and infected around 60 million. Could you imagine the media coverage if a Republican were president? Right now, Wuhan Virus has killed nearly 40 people and infected at least 1,250—and the media is painting an apocalyptic picture with glee. If there is one institution that is preventing a national unity in handling this crisis, it’s the liberal media. As The Federalist’s Sean Davis aptly noted, they hate you. They hate this country. They want it to be punished, they want us to be punished for not believing their fake news for the past four years. Trump is still president, losers. Deal with it. We won."

Yes, can you imagine? I feel so terribly sad for the high school kids who were playing in the middle of State Basketball Championships (e.g., Minnesota) to have the tournaments suddenly cancelled in the middle of them. All sports, at all levels, amateur and professional, just shut down. Some seasons completely cancelled, others put on hold until who knows when?

It's going to take a long time to recover what has been lost, but our country will recover. It always has, some recoveries taking longer than others. When this panic subsides, and it will, people will realize the worst is over and this country's economy will come roaring back. History suggests there's reason to expect that will be the case again when the economy starts returning to normal.

Commentary: We conservatives should be thankful those who control the Democratic Party have mobilized in the nick of time to deprive Bernie Sanders of the Democratic Party's nomination as their candidate for President. It isn't over quite yet, Sanders could rally and ensure the nomination process goes to a contested national convention in Milwaukee in July. That could still happen, but if it does it is almost assured the nominating process has been set up to deny Sanders the nomination, again. Even if Biden is denied a first-ballot nomination, that nomination will happen on the second ballot when so-called "Super Delegates" (establishment Democrats) will be allowed to vote. Even if Bernie were to have more delegates than Biden going into the convention, it's highly likely that he won't have enough committed delegates to secure a first-ballot nomination and thus onto a second ballot.

Why should conservatives be happy that most Democrats have decided on Biden? Sanders is simply dangerous for the country. His election would pretty much ensure the unraveling of the United States. His "ideas" have a long history of disaster for countries that have adopted them. Millions have died or worse, were killed/murdered, under regimes that Sanders considers utopian models for us freedom-loving Americans to emulate.

Of course, with Biden being the nominee what should we conservatives expect from him?
So, with Biden pretty much assured of the nomination let's not get over confident thinking that the re-election of President Trump is assured. We'll have to be diligent in our efforts to ensure this President has four more years.

Commentary: I'm going to disagree with much of the post-Democratic Debate analysis after six of the remaining Democratic candidates "debated" in Las Vegas this past week. Judging by the talking heads post-"debate" one could conclude Michael Bloomberg's campaign is essentially over. How bad was it? Even Michael Reagan in his analysis at Townhall is feeling sorry for Bloomberg. That's just plain nonsense. Bloomberg isn't going anywhere, not yet anyway. He's not even on the ballot during today's Nevada Caususes.

For months Mr. Bloomberg has been blanketing much of the country that votes March 3rd with nearly half-a-billion dollars of slick TV, Radio, and social media ads. Most of the country didn't see Mr. Bloomberg's debate performance. They're going to think Bloomberg "Gets Things Done!" They've been inundated with hundreds of ads including some that have Barack Obama praising him. There's even an ad showing Joe Biden praising Bloomberg.

It's foolish to think that one poor debate performance is going to knockout a candidate who has in excess of $60 Billion in personal wealth and is willing to spend as much as necessary to secure the nomination and ultimately the General Election in November.

Sure, Warren had a good debate that night. She went right after Bloomberg from the outset. She had to, her campaign is on life support and people are reaching for the plug. Sanders followed as did the other candidates on stage. Then the food fight started and the candidates went after each other. Biden is done as he was ignored during the debate. He has been written off. Even the talking heads at the conclusion of the debate agreed the big winner of the night was President Trump.

Back to Bloomberg. It was clear that he isn't in debating shape. He hadn't debated in 10 years and it showed. He wasn't prepared for what he should've expected as attacks against him. You can be sure there will be a different Bloomberg on stage at the next debate. He's going to think through the attacks that he endured during this last debate and he'll be angry about it. There will be a much more combative Bloomberg after this week's beat down.

The Democratic nomination is going to come down to Sanders and Bloomberg. The DNC is in Bloomberg's corner. They've already denied Sander's a victory in Iowa. The've changed the rules to put Bloomberg on the debate stage. Unless Sanders secures enough delegates to win a first-ballot endorsement the DNC will work its "magic" to deny Sanders the nomination - again!

News/Commentary: Whoa, what happened to the Democratic candidate who was believed to be the most electable and best positioned to take on President Trump? He closed up shop in New Hampshire hours before the polls closed and headed for South Carolina. I'm talking about former VP Joe Biden. As results came in it appeared Biden's performance in NH was much worse than thought possible just a few weeks ago. His campaign is on life support and it looks like a lot of people are reaching for the plug.

I have to give credit to MN Sen. Amy Klobuchar. I predicted she would finish fifth in Iowa, and she finished fifth. Surprisingly, she had a third place showing in New Hampshire. She finished ahead of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Biden. She's hanging around longer than what I expected. I have thought for months that Klobuchar would be out of the race before March 3rd, Super Tuesday. I have to believe she doesn't want to lose Minnesota on Super Tuesday, a result that's highly likely. She's in a position now to see how things turn out on Super Tuesday.

What does Warren's path to the nomination look like? Washed out!

My prediction is that the Democratic nomination will be between Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Bloomberg's wealth will overwhelm the remaining candidates in the Democratic field, besides Sanders (three dropped out last night - Yang, Bennett, and Steyer). Sanders has momentum and will be at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee. The likelihood of a brokered convention appears to be a certainty. That means the Democratic National Committee will be in a position to again manipulate the party's nominating system to crown the candidate it wants. Sanders isn't the one, not yet anyway. The DNC is notorious for "fixing" things as Sanders experienced in 2016.

News/Commentary: So, the latest thing for Democrats to latch on to in their efforts to unseat President Trump is former National Security Advisor John Bolton's book, due to be released in March. But "someone" released an excerpt from the book, in advance of the book's release that Democrats believe is their savior. A few words from Mr. Bolton supposedly are going to be sufficient to bring down the President. Wrong! Again! Soon after the New York Times published the "leak" we find out that the National Security Council reviewer of books for Security and Policy Review is none other than the brother of LTC Vindman, one of the "star" witnesses that the Democrats brought before the House Intelligence Committee to tell the world that he heard something. So the sham Impeachment Trial will continue at least for a few more days. If the number of wobbly Republicans is limited to one or two in the Senate, the President should be acquitted later this week (hopefully).

Uh Oh! Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren thinks Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders called her a liar during a national TV debate Tuesday night. Well, she shouldn't think that. She should know that. Let's face it, Sen. Warren has struggled with the truth on more than one occasion. She shouldn't worry too much about Tuesday night. Essentially, very few saw her being called a liar.

This is true, and along with this there will be an asterisk that will indicate that this was a 100 percent partisan action taken with not one Republican vote in support. Then there will be a second asterisk that indicates President Trump was immediately acquitted by the United States Senate. This is a very ugly period in the history of the United States and it is primarily the result of one major political party, the Democratic Party, being unable to accept the results of a General Election - the election of President Trump in November 2016. It is politics pure and simple. Another entry will be the re-election of President Trump in 2020. I can't wait.

    News:

Sad, but not surprising, news out of Iowa for Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar. After more than a third of the field of Democrats running for President have dropped out of the race, Sen. Klobuchar has been able to rise to fifth place among Iowa Democrats, according to the most recent poll taken by Iowa's Des Moines Register newspaper. I predicted last year that Klobuchar would do no better than fifth place among Democrats during the Iowa Caucuses and that appears to be holding true. What I didn't count on was the likes of "Beto" O'Rourke, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Juan Castro, Bill DeBlasio, and a handful of other lesser known candidates dropping out of the contest before the first votes were cast. Still, it looks like Klobuchar will be about in fifth place coming out of Iowa. She's actually lower than fifth when Mike Bloomberg is factored into the equation. Bloomberg has stated he's going to focus on Super Tuesday states, like Minnesota, and he's already spent well over $100 million to establish himself in the top five nationally. Klobuchar's focus after Iowa will be to not tick off any of the top contenders in the hope she's added to the Democratic Ticket as the VP choice in the Fall.

Commentary: Another example why Mr. Trump was elevated to the Presidency in 2016: U.S. Presidents and military leaders prior to President Trump had opportunities to eliminate Iran's top general and chose not to. Zeke Miller and Julie Pace in this AP report discovered that Trump's predecessors found removing the general was too risky. Therefore, they did nothing and allowed this killer of Americans, Iraqis, Syrians, and others throughout the Middle East to continue his reign of terror. President Trump saw it differently. Now there is all of this handwringing about what Iran's rataliation will be/could be/might be. Part of the speculation needs to start with Iran's top general won't be a part of whatever that response is. It amazes me how many times we learn that our government officials have had opportunities to remove very bad actors from the world stage, have passed on those opportunities, only to learn later that many people died after those actors continued to plot and carry out atrocities around the world.

Commentary: Happy New Year! A new year, and a new decade! This is my first post of the new year. My New Year's Resolutions include: 1) Help re-elect President Donald Trump in November (it's important that the country do that; 2) Be less antagonistic and help heal the country. Those two resolutions may appear to be contrary to each other. I disagree. Half of the country has become irrational to the point it has become silly. Opponents of the President just can't seem to get over that he was elected President, and about to be re-elected. It's a shame opponents to the President don't appreciate the good he has accomplished and is welcomed by our half of the country. Wouldn't it be great if the MS media actually reported on the President's actions in a fair and an objective way? Lowest unemployment numbers in 50 years, across all races; a growing economy; a 2% inflation rate; a new and fair trade deal with Canada and Mexico; progress on a new trade deal with China; well, I could just go on. 2020 will be historic in many ways. I hope one of those ways will be the utter rejection of the path towards socialism that the President's opponents would place us on if given the chance.

Obama Speaks on Debt - Calls President Bush Unpatriotic!

"The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 Trillion from the first 42 Presidents, number 43 added $4 Trillion by his lonesome so that we now have over $9 Trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back -- $30 Thousand dollars from every man woman and child. That's irresponsible. That's unpatriotic."

And what has he done all by his lonesome? See the data above.

And then there's this classic, then-President Obama telling Donald Trump to stop whining and stop making claims about a rigged election. Mr. Obama said it wasn't possible.
