Facts (Wouldn't it be nice if those reporting on Earth's climate actually kept their facts in perspective?): How much does human activity affect greenhouse gases? Let's look at the numbers, you know, facts: 3.4% of CO2 is caused by human activity (96.6% is not). 3.62% of greenhouse gases are CO2. Greenhouse gases comprise 2% of the total atmosphere. Multiply .034 x .0362 x .02 = .0024616%. Even Common Core math would conclude it is a very, very tiny amount, graphically depicted here:

There would be much less support/enthusiasm for "Renewable" energy sources if people pushing the green energy agenda understood the true cost of such energy sources on the environment.

Prager U explains the environmental costs of so-called "Green Energy."

Comedian George Carlin puts it all in perspective with his analysis of The Earth, its climate, and man's role on it:

Another person who gets it is Neil Oliver.

The "World Economic Forum" (WEF) made an interesting post on Twitter in December 2020. The organization claimed that the planet Venus was once like Earth, but climate change made it what it is today - uninhabitable. What the WEF doesn't seem to realize is that, if that's true, Venus was like Earth, that climate there changed without the burning of fossil fuels or human carbon footprints. We should thank the WEF for stating the obvious - climate change occurs because of nature.

(7 May 20) - What is up with Bill Gates? Now, according to the DailyMail, Gates is talking about "spraying millions of tonnes of dust into the stratosphere to stop global warming." Gates plans however, and thankfully, are "on hold, amid fears that it could trigger a disastrous series of chain reactions, creating climate havoc in the form of serious droughts and hurricanes, and bring death to millions of people around the world." Ya think? Don't mess with the planet. She's fine. She'll be fine.

  • (10 Apr 20) - Disgusting is one word to describe how radical environmentalists are attempting to exploit the COVID-19 virus that has stricken much of the planet. The DailySignal's Jarrett Stepman says "Radical Environmentalists’ Giddiness During Pandemic Exposes Their True Aims." Sadly, when all is said and done and when the deaths FROM the virus, and not those WITH the virus, we will conclude the virus amounted to nothing more than the seasonal flu. For that the world's economy was destroyed. The draconian measures implemented to stop the spread of the virus essentially brought the world's biggest economies to a standstill. Environmentalists are fine with that. Most of us are not.

  • (21 Dec 19) - Well, this should scare just about everyone. The highest court in the Netherlands has ordered legislators to act on climate change. Right. The body of government that is suppose to interpret laws is ordering lawmakers to make laws. Imagine the U.S. Supreme Court ordering Congress to pass legislation that it dictates. That, on its face would appear to be unconstitutional. And which branch of government determines what's constitutional? Right. Again, this is frightening, or should be.

  • (15 Dec 19) - The AP reports that the "Longest UN climate talks end with no deal on carbon markets"! What good news. The climate alarmists have seen their attempt at establishing a gravy train slowed. They promise to be back.

  • (21 Oct 19) - I have been calling myself a "Climate Acceptor" because I don't deny the climate is changing. It is always changing. Scientist Tony Heller uses the term "Climate Realist." I'm considering adopting that term instead of "Acceptor." Heller has composed a 20-minute video that he calls "Basic Science For Climate Scientists - intended to teach climate scientists the basic science which many of them choose not to understand.

  • (1 Aug 19) - Whoa! Greenland Lost 217 Billion Tons of Ice Last Month, as reported by LiveSciences Staff Writer Rafi Letzter. So, what does that staggering melt level mean for the rising oceans? Brace yourself; it means "this July's melt alone was enough to raise global average sea levels by 0.02 inches (0.5 millimeters), according to the Post." Where does one measure a half-millimeter rise?

  • (14 Mar 19) - Big breakthrough! The "U.N. urges 'unprecedented' steps on environment" isn't new. What is new is that the last sentence in this article says President Trump's "nominee to replace Nikki Haley as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Kelly Knight Craft, is on record as saying she believes 'both sides' of the climate change debate." Both sides? There's another side? One would never know that when reporting on this issue always portrays the issue as "settled" or that there is "overwhelming consensus among scientists." The truth is there is considerable debate as to how much of climate change is due to nature or man.

  • (21 Jan 19) - It continues -- "It" being the ongoing, relentless "the sky is falling" harangue from the changing climate observers. One of those observers is John Schwartz who wrote this article for the New York Times. Pretty alarming, right? Consider this question: What percentage of the Greenland Ice Sheet has melted? We've been hearing about this for years. We've seen pictures showing the dramatic melting of ice on Greenland over the years. Ask a Climate Alarmist, "What percentage of the Greenland Ice Sheet has melted in the past 50 years? Hopefully, they will give you an answer, but probably not. They might guess 1% 10-20-30%. Then ask, "How much have the oceans risen during that time? 2 inches, 4 inches, 12 inches? What? NOAA reports that oceans are rising an estimated 1/8th of an inch per year since 1993. In another eight years the oceans are expected to have risen an inch. In 96 years a foot, maybe. Before destroying our economy let's make sure we know what we're dealing with.

  • (11 Mar 18) - Earth crosses troubling carbon-dioxide threshold. This is a report I wish every climate alarmist would read and heed. In it, the report includes what once was the atmospheric conditions on Earth, such as this nugget of information: "The Eocene-Oligocene boundary around 34 million years ago, Antarctica is believed to have had no ice at all, with atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations of 750 parts per million." And if they go back further to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth the carbon concentration in Earth's atmosphere was 5 times what it is today. Please stop scaring people.

  • Who knew? Dirt has more CO2 than the atmosphere, according to LiveScience.
  • Uh...someone needs a calculator. If the melting Greenland Icesheet is adding .027 inches each year to sea levels, that means half and inch has been added since 1997.

How many volcanoes are located on the ocean floors and are contributing to warming the oceans? To what extent does the Earth's precession have on climate data? It was reported in the year 2000 that the Earth's precession was resulting in the arctic circles are "travelling toward their respective poles" at the rate of 14 meters per year. Just some questions and answers that should be added to the climate debate.
